Hi all.
I’m not only new here, I’m new to everything you guys do.
I’m looking to make a radio controlled device that weighs no more that 100g, is battery powered, has dimensions of no more that 100mmx100mmx50mm and will winch in two 300mm cables by 200mm. Also needs to let that cable out by command.
Does that make sense?
I have no idea where to start, so any guidance would be awesome.
Thanks
Preston
Hi prestonc,
We are not 100% sure to understand what you want to build.
It would be a winched device ? Do you have any information to provide ?

Thanks for coming back to me.
So, imagine a box on a wall above a small curtain. Need to lift that curtain up, from the bottom remotely. Ideally with a leaver on a control unit.
There are a lot of ways to do that, it’s probably better to use a motor and string system (like a winch).
Ont thing that need to be determined is the amount of torque needed to lift the curtain to choose a motor and the RPM needed.
The control could be as simple as a relay system triggered by buttons or lever (that could hit buttons)
Hi DiaLFonZo
Thanks mate, I really don’t know where to start though.
Would it be possible to spoon feed me the baby steps?
Lifting around 1-2Kg
Appreciate the help
You will need a motor, which will be triggered by buttons. It could be use with the following diagram direct from a power source.
