I am a student studying special effects and currently undertaking a dissertation module entitled:-

Can 3D printing technology improve production issues and workflow in manufacturing animatronic components for the domestic and professional areas of the special effects industry as opposed to traditional production methodologies?

Not sure if you saw it, but this forum allows you to create a poll. You can reply to the original thread and in the reply window, click “Options” (the gear at the far right), and in the list, click “Build Poll”. It’s far more convenient for a member to answer the poll directly rather than copy/paste/send (which also requires that they provide their e-mail which they may prefer to keep private).
