I have a muscle condition that makes it very hard to use my arms and
hands. I have a very extensive electronics/mechanical background. I and friends
plan on making a "bionic Glove’ using r/c servos and controls. I need
to control 5 servos. So, i have 5 Analog servo’s I need part numbers for controllers
that will run at least five motors and accept rs-232 commands for control. the 5 servos are for testing 1 finger!

We actually have many servo controllers which accept serial commands and can control many more than 5 servos. For example, consider the SSC-32 which can easily control up to 32 servos. If you want something smaller, you might consider the Pololu Micro Serial 8 Servo Controller.

For writing longer text, have you considered a text to speech program?
