Alternative for sensor GP2Y0D810Z0F

Hi there,

I am currently using the GP2Y0D810Z0F IR senor and am having lots of issues with dust. Can someone please recommend an alternative part using ultrasonic, inductive or capacitive sensors?

What kind of specifications are you looking for? An ultrasonic sensor might not be as susceptible to the environment than the IR one.

What is the minimum and maximum distance that you need to read? What about the resolution?

Max distance 10cm

Min distance 1cm

Resolution 1cm

Ultrasonic sensors may have some trouble reading distances under 2-3 cm. You could keep the IR sensor for close readings, and use a HC-SR04 Ultra01+ Ultrasonic Range Finder for longer distances (over 2cm).
