Alpha 1P Bluetooth Issue

Hi All,

A family member purchased a Alpha 1P secondhand and unfortunately it does not display the unit when searching via Bluetooth in the Ubtech android application. It displays “Dual-SPP” from the device but not “Alpha1”

I can connect the robot to USB and control it this way but its not much fun with a USB cord connected. I have spoken to Ubtech support and they cant do too much as its not in warranty, they said I could purchase a new board but cant guarantee this will resolve the issue.

Can anyone please let me know if there is anything I can try to troubleshoot this issue? I have updated the firmware but this does not resolve, I have also tried different versions of the app and also different phones still the same issue.

Cheers
Rhys

Hi,

Were you able to connect to “Dual-SPP” ?

Hi,

Sorry I should have mentioned that, Yes I can connect to the “Dual-SPP” using Bluetooth on mobile and also PC. It does not show up in the Ubtech Android app when scanning.

Could the Dual-spp be incorrectly labeled so the app does not see it? I have seen the app connects as “Alpha1” in the guides.

Thanks for the reply!

We doubt that the name of the Bluetooth network is the issue but you can try to change the name and see if it connects with the Android application.
