All terrain robot weather proofing?

Dear: LMR

Just to let you guys know recently I have received this robot for christmas and I finally have an idea what to do with it. I want to enter it in a competition but I need a water proof all terrain robot. All terrain can be checked off becasue I have the Bogie Runt Rover from servo city. That should be all terrain enough. Last but not least I need it to be weather proof. It will be in dirt, water, and sand six hours every day. I have no idea if this robot is weather proof or not as a matter of fact. Is the robot weather proof and if not how do I weather proof it? Thank you.

To get it splashproof it

To get it splashproof it needs a smooth enclosure above, and electronics should be inside a plastic enclosure.

To get it really rugged you should get a battery and microcontroller for automotive use, hobby electronics have a temperature range of 0-60C°, and freezing wrecks the wires insulation. Black structures also get more heat during sun hours, it is better to have a light colored coating. Sun also destroys wire insulation.

Wheels should have a mud cover, like trucks, to avoid dirt and water to be spread above.

What about the motors?

Dear: Silux

I remember watching some tutorials for waterproofing servos without putting them in a enclosure. With that said how would I water proof the motors? I can’t put them in a enclosure other wise they wouldn’t attach to the robot but thank you anyways and I will try that.
