Somebody have any ideea about Any other Alexa compatible robot out there at this time a part of some poor toys and vacuum cleaners?

Hello @Paul78963 and welcome to the RobotShop community,

The robots you mentioned use a MeccaBrain microcontroller and this cant be programmed so there is no easy way to use it with Alexa.

However, you could substitute the brain of the robot with a different programmable board and that will allow you to use Alexa to control it. I’ve seen this (brain substitution) done with an Arduino (you can find an example here) but you have to make sure your Arduino board is able to connect with Alexa.

Another option would be using a Raspberry Pi as your robot’s brain, that way you could use AlexaPi to control the robot with voice commands (here’s a great tutorial).

If you find this brain replacement too complicated, you could simply purchase a robot that uses one of these Alexa-compatible microcontrollers as its brain.

I hope this information can help you out!

Sensational concise reply. Great help, Thank you! I am a beginner and would be long way for me …
Do you have any idea about any Alexa compatible enabled walking dancing, voice face recognition robot?
Thank you again!

I’ve heard about the Vector Robot by Anki but it is not available in the store.

But I’m guessing you are looking for a Humanoid robot so I suggest checking this section of the store and look for an Arduino or Raspberry Pi based/compatible robot. I gave it a quick look and found this one:

It does not offer voice face recognition straight away but you can add Arduino shields to have these features as well as the connection to Alexa.

If you don’t care about it being a humanoid you could also search for Arduino and Raspberry Pi robots on the store and simply follow an online tutorial to add the Alexa control feature.
