When I connect the ALD5 to the FlowArm software using this sequence: com off, blue tooth icon on, ssc-32u powered on then switch com to my com port, the arm jerks around and does not respond properly. After about 20 seconds of trying to move the arm with the software, it suddenly comes to attention and works fine. If I then power off the arm and then back on, control is ok.

This is a rather unusual problem.
To help troubleshoot this issue, please provide one or more pictures of your setup clearly showing all components (controller board, servomotors, wiring, jumpers, etc.) and also one or more videos of the issue from start to finish.
