AL5D robotic arms

i just receive a brand new robotic arm model AL5D from lynxmotion.
After done assemble the robotic arm which is based on the manual provided in lynxmotion, the robot seem to be not working as its suppose to work. All the connection on the ssc-32 board have been check several time and its look good. HOWEVER, after the the robot is switch on, these are what happen:

  1. immediately the arm is jerking. its moving forward and hit the ground in jerking movement. I’m not controlling the arm through the RIOS or LynxTerm.

  2. I did try to control the movement of the robot using RIOS and LynxTerm but the movement is not good. some servo it is not moving (just keep on jerking) and some servo it is moving to the direction but in jerking movement. it is not smooth at all.

  3. the same result also being observe when the servo is tested individually.

  4. the power supply have been check and seem to be supplying enough voltage required.

these are some clips of the robot

It is hard to tell anything from this, what would help is a simple photo showing the SSC-32 and it’s connections. This would help to verify that the servos are plugged in properly, that the jumpers are set properly…

Don’t know what power you are giving to the board. Are you using a Wall adapter? Or are you using a battery. Do you have separate power going into the logic(VL) versus the power going into the servos (VS1 VS2). If separate, have you removed the VL=VS jumper?
