I’m unsure of this but it seems like the FlowBotics studio is a download available on RobotShop and it comes as a part of the AL5D kit. Did you buy your kit from RobotShop, if so check if you have this already purchased / available for download.
Bought it from Active Robots in the UK and it didn’t tell us on the website that we need to get and pay for a disc from the US, which is rather inconvenient as we wanted to use this today!
My recommendation is, submit a ticket and provide proof of purchase to RobotShop, they own Lynxmotion. They may see that you indeed purchased the robot arm and maybe would waive the money on the software.
You might not hear back until tomorrow. They are great at helping out so I wouldn’t worry too much.
The “old” AL5 FlowArm app has since been replaced by FlowArm PLTW (available as a download).
This app was created using FlowBotics Studio and is included therein.
