Hello,
I’m a new teacher and we are working with the AL5D robots. We have arms that were assembled a few years ago but they seem to lack the ability to hold themselves up. I figured that the motors were starting to go bad by years of abuse from High School Students so I ended up buying two new kits this year, put them both together and I’m getting the same results. The arms connect just fine (we are still using ArmControl V1-35LM instead of FlowArm) but every time the robots connect, they seem to just pulsate and won’t properly move like they should. The arms can slowly rotate, have very drastic spasms and eventually just flop straight down. Is anyone having an issue with this and can help? I’ve been struggling with this and cant figure it out.
Hi,
First, we will need some more details concerning your setup:
]Which controller are you using? Is is the SSC-32 RB-Lyn-100] or the SSC-32U RB-Lyn-850]?/:m]
]Please attach to your reply one or more pictures of your setup showing clearly all components (controller board, jumpers, wires, servomotor and power cable connections). Add annotations to the images if needed for clarity./:m]
]Please download and connect to the arm/controller board using our free diagnostic tool, Lynxterm. Make sure to change the baud rate and COM port in the SETUP (top left) first. Once the arm is powered and the software is connected, type VER followed by return] in the black text box. Please let us know the response you receive./:m]
We await your reply to further help you.
Sincerely,
