I have updated flowarm and tried three separate robotic arms and I cannot get any of my arms to communicate with the software. This is the first time I’ve tried in a year but didn’t think I’d have this major issue.
Hi,
You did mention that you could not get any arms to communicate with the software, but did not specify if you received any pop-ups, error messages of anything of the like. If possible, please provide pictures or a video of what you did and what happen as a result. You can attach files to your reply by using the Full editor mode. See the attached image for details.
As for troubleshooting, please start by verifying the baud rate in both the software and on the SSC-32U boards. It is possible that they do not match and this would cause a communication issue.
You can verify the baud rate of the SSC-32U by powering it (6 V DC power supply on VS1, the blue PWR LED should be on). Once that is done, press the “BAUD” button and check which LED blinks. This will indicate the current baud rate. You can read more about this in the SSC-32U manual on page 34 (bottom half).
In the FlowArm PLTW software, check the status of the Bluetooth icon on the right. If it is off, the default baud rate is 115200. If the icon is active (lighted blue), then the baud rate is 9600.
We await your reply to further help you.
Sincerely,
Everything is good. Apparently I had a bad DC power supply. Thank you
