i have been working with the 3 codes that you have provided in the website earlier. when the arm comes in to an exact position which code should i use to grab an object? i dont get how the gripper function works.

Which code do you want to use (can you provide a link)? The gripper behaves like a normal RC servo motor.
HOWEVER, it is very important to close just enough to hold the object, and not to close beyond.
Asking the servo to go to a position which is physically blocked will cause it to overheat.
