AL5A Hardware upgrade pack available?
Hello @bamccall and welcome to the RobotShop forum,
You can find the parts you need here:
- Aluminum Tubing - 4.50" (AT-03)
- Aluminum Multi-Purpose Servo Bracket Single (ASB-201) (This one is also included in the AL5A kit)
- Aluminum Long “C” Servo Bracket Single (ASB-203)
- Aluminum Long “C” 805BB/MG Servo Bracket Single (ASB-205)
- Load Balancing Spring - 2.5" 3.61lb (SPR-02)
- Servo Extender Cable - 12" (SEA-02)
- Lynxmotion Multi-Purpose Servo Bracket Two Pack (ASB-204)
Note that some of these brackets are sold in pairs, so you will have a number of spare parts.
You will also need the servos, though some from the AL5A can be used in the AL5D even though they are not identical (for example the 422, 485, 645 are all the same dimension). These are the ones used in the AL5D arm:
- HS-422 (Also included in the AL5A)
- HS-485HB standard-size servo
- HS-645MG standard-size servo (Also included in the AL5A)
- HS-755HB mega-scale servo (Also included in the AL5A)
- HS-805BB mega-scale servo
You can also find the “Hardware Only” version of the Lynxmotion AL5D here:
But that kit also includes some of the parts included in the AL5A kit
I hope this information can help you out!
