I purchased a group of these arms and in trying to get one running the Board has no power. Any suggestions?
Hi,
We assume this is using the RB-Lyn-814 that were purchased?
We also noticed that some RB-Lyn-363 were purchased at the same time. Are those in used with the robotic arms, too?
If you followed the newest assembly guide for the RB-Lyn-814, you should have the wiring harness (switch & barrel connector) connected to the VS1 input of the SSC-32U, as shown on page 17 of the assembly guide.
Please note that the USB port only powers the USB interface, not the robotic arm or electronics (for safety reasons). Therefore, you also need the included 6 V DC 5 A connected, powered up with the switch of the wiring harness in the “on” position.
With the SSC-32U properly powered, you should see the PWR LED on (blue) near the VS1 input screw terminals. If so, press the BAUD button. By default, the green LED (LED A) should blink quickly for a few seconds, the red LED (LED B) should stay off during that time.
If you have all the power connections done properly and you still do not get power to the electronics and/or servomotors, please provide us with pictures of your setup, making sure to show clearly all components (SSC-32U, power supply (label), all connections, jumpers on the board, etc.).
We await your reply to further help you.
Sincerely,
