Hi everybody!

 

I just started looking for a starter robot kit or custom collection of parts to get on robotics.

I will add my findings to this topic and everybody is welcome to do so. Please comment if you have good or bad experiences of the kits mentioned. I'll upgrade this post after reading about these.

If it were me…

I would start with a chassis like the Dagu Magician and either a Uno like Arduino and a motor shield or a Dagu Mini Driver

There are lots of cheaper options on eBay as well.

Starting

Uno+motor shield or dagu mini driver for starting. Then nano+ l298 driver.

Uno it’s better for versatility as there is lots of shields, mini driver is easy to use with servos, nano it’s so cheap you can solder it without regrets.

I had lot of fun with hc05 bluetooth module:)
