Advice on geared hub motor types

Hey guys I’m Johnny, I’m new here and i have a project i want to build but need a little help on figuring out the best and cheapest parts to use. I’m a deer hunter and i hunt on a lot of state lands where there is no vehicle access, only foot access only trails or some allow e-bike use. I have no problem walking a couple miles to hunt, the problem is dragging a deer a couple mile back to the truck. They sell wheeled game carts (i have a couple of these still a lot of uphill work) so anyways, basically i want to build one of these carts (search game cart to see) but instead of a manual push/pull cart, i want to have 2 low speed (walking speed), high torque, geared hub motors with 4-4.5” fat bike tires, 16-20” ?? I’m thinking maybe each motor should be 350watts?? And for power source, i was thinking i could use a few 20 volt dewalt power tool batteries?? Of course I’ll need controllers and twist or lever throttles to control each wheel. Can anyone recommend a cheap parts source or have any recommendations on parts i should use?? Thanks in advance

A 350W motor per wheel is a good choice. Fat bike tires of 4-4.5 inches width and 16-20 inches give better traction on rough terrain and spread the weight, reducing sinking in mud or soft ground.

But who sells a kit or low speed, hi torque geared hub motors with fat tire, all the ones I’m finding are for bike speed?

Hi @JLloyd75 and welcome to our forum!

Maybe you could use this already built platform:
