Advice on buying used roomba 980

So I found a great deal on a roomba 980 and I had the owner send me the info sheet on its runtime /charges and it has 234 charges and over 200 hours of use. Yeah be tried to look but I’m not sure if that’s average for a roomba or if it’s on it’s last legs any info would be great THANKS

@Omursata A late welcome to the RobotShop Community. Did you purchase the unit? How have you found it? A few pointers (for someone else who might be in the same position):

  • If the unit is a few years old, the battery may need to be replaced
  • Assume you’ll have to buy a new side brush, main brush and filter
  • Assume you’ll have to open the unit up to do a general cleaning, even if the outside looks clean
  • Check that the unit works by checking that the main vacuum has enough suction, the brushes spin, the robot detects contacts on the main bumper, finds its home base, charges etc. If this is the case, and the battery is at a good voltage, you’ll likely be fine.
  • Note that there’s a good chance the manufacturer won’t cover the unit without the original invoice, and some replacement parts are not available separately.
