Adhesive for Lynxmotion tracks

We have Lynxmotion tracks that we are using for a robotic entry in the Rescue Robot contest of the National Robotics Challenge. The robot we have built with the Lynxmotion tracks does not have sufficient traction to climb the stairs for this contest (4 inch rise per step). We glued strips of Neoprene rubber (1/4 inch thick and one inch wide) on every other link in the track using PLIOBOND PBC-25-LV VOC Compliant Adhesive (a contact adhesive that claims it can be used with rubber). We waited the full 7 days for cure of the adhesive before testing. After testing for a few minutes, climbing the stairs, one of the glued rubber pads dislodged from its track. We are worried that with continued use, the bonds on additional glued rubber pads will fail. Thus, we are searching for a better adhesive for the Neoprene rubber pads. Do you have any recommendation for an adhesive that will form a strong bond with the rubber part of your Lynxmotion tack links (we have the 2 inch wide tracks)?

Thanks very much,
Jeff La Favre

Unfortunately we do not have any glues in particular to suggest. You might try a softer rubber and use a rubber to rubber adhesive (which will form a chemical bond).
