Adding wireless remote to handicap chair in van - need help

My MIL has asked if I can get her a key fob set up to operate the automatic chair that is in her van. Right now the user has to hold a momentary rocker switch on the side of the chair and hold it again to retract the chair back into the van. It takes about a full minute to do this so they want to be able to have it operating while they are walking to the car. So I pull the plug from the switch and it only has 3 wires. I didnt have much time with it and the multimeter but it looks like one wire is 12v while at rest and the other 2 dont show any voltage. To me, that sounds like making contact to the 12v with one of those wires gets you upward motion and the other reverses it. Sound reasonable?

I purchased this while i continue to shop cuz it was cheap and will take a while to get here. Do you think this will do what i need? ebay.com/itm/331584910487?_t … EBIDX%3AIT

The chair is a Bruno Valet plus. But there is no real info on it online. You have to get them installed from a certified place.

Hi Jake,

We have many control box made for linear actuators that will do just that:

Another solution would be a wireless relay system but that’s more Do It Yourself approach.
