I have question about hooking it up.
i am using it in rc control.

12 or 24 volt either one

You can find how to hook it up on the datasheet, on page 2 “RC Servo Interface Mode”. You have two options X3 or X6
You can also check the Advanced Configuration Datasheet.
I should have been more specific. Thank you for responding. I followed that along with cutting the power coming from the three wire rc. I read that you should connect both grounds so i did that. soon as i powered upthe wires got really hot so i shut down right away. i tried without hooking up both grounds and i got nothing, not sure if i smoke the controller or?

If you cut the red wire then the RC receiver is not being powered by the LAC board so you will need to provide power to the receiver some other way.
I recommend checking this video because that setup is similar to what you are trying to achieve.
I am not using a actuonix actuator.
What actuator are you using? What’s the nominal voltage? Does it have position feedback?
Where did you connect it?
