Actuonix lac board wth rcr transmittor and receiver

i have a FA-PO-35-12-4 actuator and have a actuonix lac board wired to it with a rcr transmitter and receiver everything was working normal for about 40 minutes then it extended all the way out and stopped working tested actuator with power leads and everything is normal retracts in and out so i started to replace everything with new replaced rcr transmittor and receiver and new lac board and even replaced the actuator and i still have no response fronm actuator
i have no idea where to go from here it just seems funny that everything was good and then all of a sudden nothing just looking for some suggestions i looked evrywhere on the internet and don.t see anything
any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks Ron Tozer

Hello @Spiker and welcome to the RobotShop forum,

Since you mentioned you are using an RC receiver what I can think of that could have happened is that you connected power to both X6 and X3 at the same time. If the supply voltages differed, large currents may have damaged your LAC board.

Here’s a note from the manufacturer: If using the RC connector, you should not connect a separate power supply. This can result in large currents flowing between power supplies. If you do wish to connect a separate supply, ensure the Red RC wire is disconnected.

no i definetly had the red wire on receiver cable cut it worked perfect for about 40 minutes then it fully extracted and that was it i replaced transmittor and receiver plus lac board and the actuator
should be straight forward but i am not sure what happen or why

Have you contacted actuonix?

Sometimes, the LAC boards aren’t loaded correctly with their default values. Before contacting tech support, please try the following 3 things:

  1. Double check your connections, and that you have power to the + and – terminals of connector block
  2. Check that all four of the blue potentiometers on the LAC are turned fully clockwise.
  3. Power the LAC off and then back on to load the default settings.

Now try the LAC again. They have a video series on using our LAC board on their YouTube channel, you may want to check that out as well.

yep i did evrything you said multiple times and watched every video and read anything i can find
just will have to keep digging and trying different things it just seems strange that it worked perfect at first and then stopped and does nothing plus i replaced everything except the speed control that is still working
