Actuonix LAC Board Fault

Dear Community

I was successfully opterating an Actuonix Linear Actuator Control Board with
an Actuonix P16 Linear Actuator, 200mm, 256:1, 12V w/ Potentiometer Feedback → connected to X2 Pin 2 an 3.

Power supply is a 12V power adapter → connected to X6 Pin 1 and 2. The input signal is a 5V signal, coming from an USB port, converted to 3,3V with a
DC Voltage Regulator Module 5/3.3V 6A → connected to X6 Pin 1 and 5.

→ up to now everything was running fine.

By coincidence I forgot to switch on the 12V power supply, but the 3,3V input signal was supplied to the board.
Since this event, the LAC board seems to be “crashed”. If I supply the 12V to the actuator directly, it´s working fine, so the problem must be the LAC board.

→ Could you please explain to me, if the LAC board is really broken now? Or is there any possibility to fix that?

Thank you very much und BR
Mat

Hi @MadMat and welcome to our forum!

Did you try do disconnect everything from the board and then plug it via USB?

What is the status of the blinking lights on the board?

Did you buy it from RobotShop?

Did you try contacting Actuonix support?

Thank you.

Hi @igor_X

Thank you for your reply.

I cannot access the board via USB, because I cannot find a windows driver for WIN10 (only WIN8.x available).
All my PCs are running on WIN10.

The status is correct. If I connect power there is no LED lighted. If I activate the 3,3V input signal, the LED is permanently green.

Yes I´ve bought all parts at RobotShop.

Thank you for your hint, to get in contact with Actuonix directly. I´ve just watched an introduction video at the actuonix page; in this video they describe, if you disconnnect all power supplies set all 4 potis P1-P4 to MAX, an then reconnect power, the board performs a reset.
→ after that everything was working fine again :-).
