I was wondering which range of frequencies can be damped by these shock absorbers.
For our project, we would use four absorbers to damp the movement of a load of approximately 25kg.
Does anyone know which frequencies could be damped with this product? (product code: RB-Sct-904)
Thanks!
Normally only the resonance frequency would cause an issue, which in this case is likely only related to the spring. The manufacturer (Servocity) intended this for use as a general purpose shock absorber, primarily for vehicle suspension. A very interesting point is " Progressive rate springs allow you to dial-in just the right amount of pressure", so the range can be adjusted for each application. The shocks are intended to be used at ~1.8Kg to 2.3Kg, so four would not be enough to support a 25Kg load.
Minimum Preload: 4 lbs
Maximum Preload: 6.4 lbs
