I require your help regarding a problem I’m encountering.
Description:
Both apps (Phidget Encoder 4 input & Phidget Wheatstone Bridge Sensor Interface) keep failing at the activation --> “Check your internet connection or firewall.”

Troubleshooting steps already taken:
I have tried multiple different networks (2 Smartphone Hotspots, 3 different private networks) but the error-massage keeps reappearing.
Different users, both local and domain, with administrator-rights have been tested, none have worked.
No additional anti-virus software is installed and the standard Windows-Defender has been deactivated as well.
GPOs have all been deactivated.
And yes, I have a working internet connection.
I have also tried changing one number in the key to a wrong one - then I got a error massage “The code you entered is not valid.”, so it does seem to check / work so far at least.
Additional information:
Client is joined to a local on premise domain.
OS: Windows 10 Enterprise 1909 (18363.418)
