Abb with pro28 removed

I use a tethered robot = usb to serial = to the computer, do I need the pro28 chip in the abb.

If I remove the pro28 chip, will I still be able to access the sensors and servos on the abb.

Thanks

Nope. The Basic Atom is the “brain” or microcontroller. The mini-ABB is simply a carrier board which gives you access to the pins on the Basic Atom.

However, a SSC-32 can be controlled with a serial cable + PC. It doesn’t require a microcontroller. So if you have one of those then you can control your servers with it.
