Hi:

Pressing button A once runs the right wheels slowly backwards.

Pressing button A a second time runs the right wheels faster backwards and the left wheels run forward.

Pressing button A more times just speeds everything up.

Pressing button B stops the motors.

Pressing button C runs all 4 motors slowly forward.

Pressing button C more times just speeds everything up.

Pressing button B stops the motors.

I wired the motors and exactly like the Schematic in Figure 5.

Suggestions would be appreciated.

As stated in the tutorial “This program requires the Sabertooth’s Switch 1 to be flipped to the “Off” or “Independent Control” position.”

If you have the robot set up as in step 5 of the tutorial, then it is not set up correctly. Flip that switch on the Sabertooth and it should act properly.

I also have the Sabre DIP switch set according to the assembly guide.

I even moved each pole back and forth to be sure the were in the correct position.

You are right I had Switch 1 in the wrong position.
