I am working on a Bioloid GP now. It was working well. However, one of my students broken a foot. I just fixed it and put two dynamixels together. Now one dynamixel turns red after I turned it on. A weird thing happens: my roboplus manager could not start now. Is there anyone had this problem before? Could you give some clue how to start this roboplus manager? computer was restarted, still same thing.
We haven’t seen this problem before. We would recommend submitting a question with the manufacturer: robotis.com/xe/qna_en
In the meantime, maybe someone from our community might have dealt with this issue before.
THANKS!
fortunately, it starts working today… What I can do is try to not close this program, except my computer is shut down.
One of the dynamixels does not work after I put it back. It turns blink. I have checked the wires, it seems they are connected correctly. after one day, it stops blinking, new problem comes. It starts to make noise, of course, when the power is on, it is not locked into the correct position - just keep loose. The noise will get louder if I try to turn the acuator, there is one position the noise becomes smallest, but still make it.
I use the RoboPlus manager to check the dynamixel, which is able to show all numbers. There is very limited info about the dynamixel unlock and make noise in the manual. Anyone can help me to solve this problem?

Is this the servo that you fixed? I’m not sure you fixed it properly if there is so much noise… Can you share a video so that we can see/hear what’s going on?
I fixed it because the screws are loose and could not tight up. After using some bigger ones, it works. I just put the servo back to the position. In other words, I did not touch the servo. Right now, I don’t have device to record the noise, I am out of town for a month. but I want to say, this servo supposed to work well. (It was working well).
correction, I just fixed the frame on the foot, but has to take out a couple of servos due to wire connection. did not touch this servo. Is this kind servo supposed to be durable? It is pretty new robot.
The Bioloid GP is meant to be durable. Ensure you tighten screws well. If you still encounter issues, can you include clear photos?
