A-POD: Nylon or Metal Servo Horn

Hi,
the A-POD Kit is sold with: RB-Hit-131 25 x Hitec Nylon Servo Horn White

but the instructions say to use the metal ones:

Remove the nylon servo horn from each servo and replace them with a metal servo horn. Be sure to keep it in the same orientation.

Since the instructions are 8 years old, I guess, the White ones work well with the rest of the kit. right?

Hi tripodsan,

The kit does come with the standard horns (nylon) and work just fine.
Some other kits of lynxmotion have only one pivot point (like the Phoenix) which works better with aluminum horns.

I just realized that the metal horns come with the leg kits. Maybe I should have checked all the packages BEFORE I centered all the servos and mounted the nylon horns :slight_smile: Well…
