has anyone used two arms and written the programing to run them togeather. I want to make a two handed robot, have the ER1 for visual reconation, going to try to run it all uder a VBscript program called Hal (a AI chat box,) any ideas welcome.
I have read a lot about the ER1, it uses some of the most advanced visual algorithms. Not a bad idea to combine the best concepts into one cool project.

with two arms to make it all come to life.
As for the ER1 and Hal, I have not used these. You could make two arms using the servo brackets and program the arms to follow their own instructions. You could have two subs called Left_Arm & Right_Arm. This program would reside in the microcontroller of your choice, such as a Basic Atom or a Basic Stamp. If there is a way for the ER1 to send Hi Low commands as outputs, you could hook the microcontroller to the ER1.
The project sounds very interesting, keep us/me posted.

For me, this is also way over my head. At least Nick is in college. You will have to wait thinking Uh… 10 years until I finish middle school, high school, and college. I maybe able to help a little right now.
