A Line Following Robot ( please help)

hey,

I want to make a line following robot for a competition, i want it to be like a robot shown in the below link.

I am really new to all these robotics.Please reply with the requirements i need and step by step instructions.Before that reply me if u can help.

The robot shown in the video seems to be custom (with a custom PCB as well). If you are new to robotics, consider a kit:
