I have two RB-Dfr-160 batteries. I have built a 5DF arm and the shoulder servo requires about 800ma under load. I can only cycle this servo a couple of times before a battery no longer gives enough current to cycle the arm. I would like to run the two batteries in parallel with just a simple “Y” connector cable.

  1. If both batteries are fully charged any problems with that?

  2. Can I charge the two batteries in parallel using that simple a connection?

Hi,

You can charge the two battery packs in parallel but it is important that the batterie packs are in the same voltage. They also need to be charged to the same level as closely as possible.
As your batteries are balanced and similar, you should be ok.
