6V 100:1 155RPM Micro Metal Gearmotor w/ Encoder

Hi,
I’m doing a project for a university course. I might use the 6V 100:1 155 RPM Micro motor for that project. I wanted to know if the torque that is given in the description is the torque produced by the motor or the torque after the little set of gear. Also, I not sure what’s the difference between instant torque and rated torque.

Thank you!

Hello @Frederic44,

Welcome to RobotShop community.

This is the torque after the gearset.

When the motor is at zero RPM, all of the electricity the motor creates from the time electric power is applied becomes instant torque—without any back EMF to reduce its output.
