4dof THex or the APod

I am about to pull the trigger on either the 24 servo 4dof THex or the APod with the botboarduino and ssc-32u with the hs-645 servo and the ps2 v4 controller.

What are the pro and con of each. I would like minimal code modification for full function. Or at least help with the code modification. Thanks folks

The two robots are different in that the T-Hex 24 has four degrees of freedom per let. The A-Pod has three degrees of freedom per leg as well as a head with mandibles and a tail. Note that we do not have complete code for the BotBoarduino for use with the A-Pod: the code we offer operates its legs, but not the head or tail. As such, the T-Hex is your safer bet. Note that the fourth degree of freedom is not completely necessary, so either the T-Hex 18 or 24 would work well.

Is there any known issues with the newest ps2 version controler with the pheonix code and the botboarduino? I had been saving up for the apod but then found out out thw botboard two discontinuation. Would like to have my bots in a row before i decide

We have recently replaced the PS2 V3 with the PS2 V4 and there are no known issues.
If you do encounter issues which prevent the two from being used together, we are certainly here to help.
