433MHz High Sensitivity Transmitter / Receiver Pair RXA18 wireing problems

I’m currently trying to use the 433MHz High Sensitivity Transmitter / Receiver Pair RXA18 to control a motor with the press of a button. I don’t fully understand how to wire up the receiver. The wiring diagram provided with the device is very vague. I don’t understand what I have to do with pin 3 PD/EMPTY? The data sheet says “Pin 3 is the power down control pin , Low for nominal operating. Usually connect to low” What does connect Low mean? I found a similar schematic that wasn’t in English that tied pin 2 and 3 together. Is that a correct action?

“LOW” revers to the logic LOW signal and in your case it is GND.
