4 Omniwheels for arduino mega

Is it a complete kit of the Arduino Mega and the driving base+motors+wheels? What is the size of it? speed?

DFRobotShop is the brand (DFRobot + RobotShop)

The DFRobotShop Omni 2.0 Rover is based on the Arduino Uno, not the Arduino MEGA. Is there any reason why you need a MEGA instead of an Uno? Size is about 28cm x 28cm (box with wheels at the corners).

The DFRobotShop Omni 2.0 Rover Upgrade includes everything you need to upgrade a DFRobotShop Rover to an Omniwheel robot. If you wanted to use that, you would need to create a custom bracket the same size and dimensions as the DFRobotShop Rover PCB, then mount the MEGA on top of it.

Wheels and motors are not meant to be used directly with an Arduino Mega - you need to have a motor controller. If you want to control four motors, you need two dual motor controllers.

Oh thats bad for me because my robot can be max with a diameter of 22cm
also, except of the 4 omniwheels I will have to add one more linear motor, 4 US sensors, ~3 IR sensors (need to locate in 360 deg, depends on the sensors) - so I’m not sure if UNO has enough exits…

What is the best solution you may offer for my Robot?

Consider the following combination of products:
4x 48mm Omniwheel for LEGO NXT, Servo
4x HSR-1425CR Continuous Rotation Servo
2x Lynxmotion Aluminum Multi-Purpose Servo Bracket ASBI-04 (Pair)
1x Arduino Mega 2560 Microcontroller Rev3
1x DFRobot I / O Expansion Shield for Arduino MEGA v1.1
1x 9-12V Battery for the Arduino and 1x 6V battery for the servos (or use a voltage regulator).

You would need to custom-make a base for the robot.

I’m not sure how will I be able to mount the wheels to the motor, also I will use this for competition so I believe I need fastest, more accurate motors.
Another thing: what is the Purpose Servo Bracket?

Which screw? And another thing: I think the bracket isn’t good for me because it mounts 2 wheels and as the kit the wheels have to be in the 4 corners and cant be paralleled, right?

I can’t afford $100 wheels.
What I need to build as a fast (as much as it can be) and accurate omni-directional robot that can fit in a tube with 22cm diameter (competition rules) - for soccer playing (RoboCup).
Therefor, I have to buy some Arduino chip, the motors and wheels, and also to connect something like another linear motor, compass sensor, 4 US sensors and 3 IR sensors to the chip (so I’m not sure if I can use Uno or just Mega or neither) -
What parts do you recommend me for this details?

Those wheels can accept either the servo or the gear motor. The servo rotates at up to 52rpm (no load).

The kit can’t help me because its too big (I need it to fit in a circle with a 22cm diameter) - also, I will use arduino mega cuz I need more pins… The motor controller: do I have to buy one for each wheel? a combined one doesnt exist?

If you want to use continuous rotation servos instead, you would use a servo controller, and most have more pins than you will ever need.

Closer to 30cm diameter

Do you want DC motors or continuous rotation servos?
Do you want plastic roller wheels or rubber (for more grip)?
Do you want two dual motor controllers or four singles?

There are many many parts to choose from and providing you with a list would only be one of many possible examples.

Be wary of clone boards - the quality is not good. You did not indicate your preferences:

1. Do you want DC motors or continuous rotation servos?
2. Do you want plastic roller wheels or rubber (for more grip)?

Use the external power input on the shield to power the servos (that’s what it looks like anyway).
You’ll need to design your own base to mount the servos, Arduino, battery etc.

The Ball is a IR transmitter and I have to find where is he around the robot (the angle, not distance)
