4 motors drive

Hi, My name is Patrick, I have just purchased a vex EDR starter kit (276-2700) to use with students. Below is my question:
so far, when I use the designed robot only the 2 motors drive work: clawbot configuration (left motor in port 1 and right motor in port 10) WHICH CONFIGURATION CAN I USE TO UTILISE 4 MOTORS DRIVE with my robot and joystick? Thank you in advance for the support.

Hi Patrick,

If you didn’t already found this HERE is the download section regarding VEX EDR.
To use two additional motors doing the same action you will have to either connect two other motor in Parallel (Y cable), but we are unsure if the internal motor controller can handle the added current, or 4 motor controllers and the programming to allow for this new configuration.

All the best,

Thank you DialFonzo for the information.
Can you clarify by what you mean by a Y cable? In which port, the 2 other motors go?
Thanks

What i mean is a cable which will split power to two motors, one side on your controller and the other side two ends to connect 2 motors.
Same port, no change to anything else.

Ok, I got it now.
Thank you Eric for the information.
