Hi! I’m an absolute beginner looking for a present for my partner. He recently got a 3D printer and he would love to print out parts for a robotic arm. Is there any kit that I can buy for him that has all the motors and non-printable parts + cad files to print own printable parts? I can spend up to £500. Would really appreciate help as I don’t even know where to start
@Lenalena Welcome to the RobotShop Community. That sounds like an excellent gift. Although RobotShop does not currently carry a “parts only” kit for a robot arm where the rest of the design is intended to be 3D printed, there are certainly kits out there which exist. For example, the RBX1 from roboteurs is almost within your budget and specifically does not include the parts which are meant to be 3D printed. There are others, but they tend to only provide a BOM (bill of materials) rather than sell the parts as a kit, for example:
