Hello,
I am looking for a high precision servo that rotates 360 degree and it knows the rotation location/direction. The servo needs to work with an Arduino board in order to build a project with other sensors.
In the Arduino project, a sensor will be attach to the rod on the servo. When the servo moves 1 degree, the sensor reading will be obtained and logged via the Arduino. Once the servo moves to 360 degree (one round, 360 sensor readings), the servo returns to the original location (i.e., 0 degree). The operation will be repeated every 5 mins or so. The reason to let the servo returns to the original location (0 degree): the sensor cable attaches to the servo rod, so the servo cannot be operated continuously 360 degree. If the servo does so, the sensor cable will be twisted around the servo rod.
The sensor is light weight, ~10g, so servo did not need to have a large torque.
Do you have recommended servos suitable for this project?
Thanks lot.
Sincerely,
