I just received a 32 x 32 LED Matrix from Robot Shop. I already have two similar ones up and working as they should. However, the one I just received from RobotShop is not working the same. The LEDs do light up but are not functioning in a way that I know how to control them in any fashion. I know that this is because the input mapping is different from my other panels. I was hoping that the mapping would be in the documentation—but I have not located anything indicting which pins are R1, R2, G1, G2, B1, B2, A, B, C D…etc… Can you tell me where I can find the mapping for the one I just got? Thanks!
Hi,
Please find attached the description of each pin of the 32x32 RGB LED Matrix.
You can use the Adafruit RGB Matrix Panel Library with this LED Matrix.
I am using these panels with three different raspberry pi computers wired to use the HUB75 as indicated in the graphic below. (I hope the graphic shows up)
R0 G0
B0 GND
R1 G1
B1 GND
A B
C D
CLK STB
OE GND
if I am understanding the the table that you posted—it ends up being the same as what I have been using. However, I did not wire more than one of the grounds. I will hook them up tonight to see if that makes any difference.
I hooked up all of the grounds to the LED panel and it did make a difference. I can now see a pattern on the display but it is all mangled and not as it should be. I have confirmed that this happens only with this new panel by switching it around with my other Raspberry Pis. The result is the same when hooked up with any one of them (that works with my other panels. So… either I am misinterpreting the pattern above or it’s not the right one for this particular pattern. Any ideas?
I failed to mention that there are no markings … such as: “G1, G2, R1 R2”… etc… on the panel by the input HUB75 except for a small “R1” a little way out on the right side. I don’t know if it has anything to do with the mapping.
I have same problem with my arduino and this panel … Other panel works well
We see that you have purchased 1 x RB-Spa-982. Can you confirm that your other 2 Led panels are the exact same as this one ? The pinout might be different if the panels are not from the same manufacturer/supplier.
