Good morning, I need a little help with the above controller purchased from you in Feb this year.I plugged it in for the first time yesterday and all works as it should, but not the way I want it too, let me explain my problem. I am building an 8X8 AFV (Attached Photo) your unit allows for speed/forward/reverse on Ch2 that part is not the problem, it’s the steering channel, Ch1 that’s the problem, I dont need it, I have Power Steering to all wheels like a 4x4 car, this set up on the 30X30 is set at Tank mode, IE,right goes forward Left goes backwards and vise versa, if I leave Ch1 disconnected then nothing works, and I need that channel on the receiver Ch2 for my Power Steering. Can you please advise as to what can be done to correct the above problem, if you need info like wiring of the Steering etc please ask. In other words I only want to use Ch2 on the Controller. Kind regards, Mike.
Hi @ladyloo and welcome to our forum.
Can you send us a photo of the DIP switches settings?
Did you write to [email protected] also for support just in case?
Thank you.
Hi ,
Thank you for your reply and offer of help, ALL the DIP switches are in the down position IE, OFF, and no I have not contacted [email protected] to be honest I did not know about this support, as I bought from Robotshop and they offered help if needed I did just that. Regards, Mike.
Hi @ladyloo
Thank you for your reply,
Your DIP switches are in the setting which is common for RC input mode.
I suggest you to try and change setting for DIP switches number 3 and 4 according to this table:
Hi
Have tried those switch positions, those switch positions still give Tank mode, not what I need, I need to use ONLY CH2 Drive Speed Channel on the Controller, ((for the Power Steering I have a motor and limit switch’s using CH1 on REC )). if I disconnect CH1 (steering) from the Controller nothing works.
The controller seems to need a S/L/N supply on CH1 to make CH2 work and vice versa, So what if I put a Y tail in CH1 on the REC then put the Y on the two Channels 1 and 2 on the Controller that way Ch1 will have supply and a signal. Mike.
Hi again @ladyloo
I would suggest you to write to Cytron support also to confirm your intentions.
If they don’t reply, let us know.
Thank you.
I have had a reply from Cytron, very knowledgeable Teck Dept, it was as I said in my reply.
Great
