Hello Everyone!
I would like to build a 3 axis gimble to stabilize my Gear VR 360 (a small to medium size camera). I would also like to use an arduino to at least partially control it. I love Arduinos and have done a few projects with them. I have done some research and servos seem too slow and jerky usually. A professional 3 axis rig can run up to $800 but whats the fun in that??? All the rigs do use brushless motors for a nice smooth response and gyroscopic or accelerometers to posit info. I see the robot shop sells some 2 axis rigs but I could not find any 3 axis setups that could handle something about a 3 in diameter ball (the Gear VR 360 camera). Brushless motors must be driven by something called an ESM (??) controller module...it doesn't look like an Arduino can do that directly with a motor. Any suggestions, links, articles, etc. would be so appreciated!!!
