2DOF Craft stick hexapod

Well here it is. I’ve been waiting for a second bluetooth uart adapter so i can control it away from my desktop.
Make sure you watch it in the 480p, youtube didn’t scale it down very well.

More pictures coming.
Todo list:
Make a bracket for my mini botboard, and one for the battery.
Change turning into a 3 set combo. It’s 1 set works, but it’s not very efficient and it doesn’t look very good. 2 Set worked ok, but had a bit of repeating. So i’ll need a 3set for smoother turning.
Add LED’s.
Optional: Add time travel device.

As soon as i get some “real” servos, i’ll scale the whole thing up. These little micro servos are great, for their price. But still lack in power. Also their gears are fragile.

Let me know what you guys think of my Hexanoob bot.

Nice little bot, good job !
Make me think of a cockroach.

Was sort of my goal, i originally wanted to bring the legs completely underneath it, but i needed more leg length.
I liked the idea of a walking platform, so i tried to reduce the size as much as possible.
Since my hservowait command doesn’t really work right, i had to add pauses in between many of the movements.
Since if i switch to a new movement to quickly, it won’t finish the first movement, even with hservowait. Infact i don’t think hservowait did anything.

Very cute hexapod, informative blog and a cool BM inspired avatar picture!
