24VDC Motor Controller Selection

Hello,

What motor controller options do you have for a 24VDC brushed gearmotor @ 1.5A.
We need it to.

  • Start the motor forward with an Input (24VDC PNP input if possible or dry contact)
  • Accell upto the running speed
  • Decell the motor to a creep speed with another input
  • Stop the motor in position with a 3rd input

We then need to do the same sequence in reverse.

We can do all the logic with a PLC. We’d just need the drive to be able to do 2 speeds (run and creep), Accell & Decell, Forward & Reverse.

Guessing there are a number of options to do this, but looking for something economical, easy to setup and program, and screw terminals to wire to.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Our PLC has relay output, not PWM output.

Do you have any controllers that we can program in the speeds, accells and decells into it and just give it input signals?

Hi Carlos,

We don’t have PWN output on our PLC. Only relay/dry contact.

Do you have a drive that we can program in the speeds or that can accept potentiometers for the speed?

You can use this motor controller to drive your motor: RB-Dfr-19

You will need a PWM signal to control the speed.
