18v dc planet geared motor replacement

Hi, I’m trying to replace a 18V DC planet geared motor but not sure of what I need. I have the existing motor, it’s from a child’s electric balance bike. The only details on the motor are

It’s 42mm diameter
8mm D drive
120mm long
From the id tag
Type- PG427751820000-50.9k
DC18V
No. 1901020244
Would anybody have a link for a replacement for this ?
Kind regards
Tony

Normally you can use the first digits to find at least a similar motor, in this case PG42775 likely represents:
42mm diameter
775 motor type
-50.9: Gear ratio
18V nominal.

Found a few but not at 18V nominal (often in production runs, a manufacturer can swap the motor for something better suited to their application).

There’s a lot of other factors to consider:

  • Ensure the shaft diameter, length and type match what you have
  • Ensure the mounting pattern at the front of your gearbox lines up with the replacement.
  • The motor current needs to be less than what the motor controller in the toy can provide
  • Overall length of gearbox + motor needs to be fit the toy’s mechanical constraints

So without the brand, it’s not easy to get a direct replacement.
