I am kinda curious what this “control” amounts to.
An IC isn’t going to appear to do much with just a single input from an IR receiver. What kind of output are you supposed to show? Does a LED blink the number that you hit on the remote? Or, does a LED just blink any time the remote’s buttons are pressed?
You and your cohorts would do well to study at least the first 3 manuals that Rev-Ed provides for free. That way when you come back asking questions you will have page numbers and coherent thoughts with respect to what you want to do.
