I’m involved in building a robot. it had a horizontal drum in front which collects sand and I need to know what kind of LOAD SENSOR should be used.
I** need to know the weight of drum when empty and when its full of sand.** looking into S type load cell ** robotshop.com/en/type-s-load-cell-100-kg.html
would like to know how much does this load cell weigh**.
suggestions are welcome if Anyone has a better idea.
Thanks
Perhaps you could somehow mount the sensor inside the rectangular support and have the shaft rest against it? The bearing would need to be mounted such that it could move (perhaps a slot for each screw / lock nut?). If the robot is in motion and bounces around, the G-forces would give readings which would be much higher than the actual load. If the load does not move around much you would get more accurate readings.
It’s about 0.1Kg. However, why would the weight of the sensor itself be of any significance? We’d need to see the setup before we can suggest other options.
this is one of the robot parts
I need to attach load sensor to its arms so when the drum (shown in picture) fills up, it would show gain.
Also** please advise** if the load sensor will work while the robot is in motion.** robot will drive on a very rough and bumpy surface**
I am also looking at 3137-buton load cell
Please suggest if anything else can be effective
thanks
