Today we announce the beginning of the expansion work on our logistics center in Mirabel, Canada, Phase 2 of 4. We are adding 20,000 additional square feet to the existing building. This growth is due in part by the strength of the market and a large number of new robotic products being launched on RobotShop.com daily, which requires more storage space. Also, the acquisition of Lynxmotion in 2012 significantly increased sales volumes in the educational field and the need for space for engineering and production. Finally, the popularity and the growing number of projects in the Technological Accelerator requires improvement and upgrading of laboratory and prototyping areas. A gym, a courtyard paired to the cafeteria, a terrace on the roof and electric vehicle charging stations will be integrated for the well being of employees.

On June 26th 2013, we announced the purchase of 100,000 additional square feet of land allowing growth by phases.

We expect four construction phases in total to use the vacant land to its full potential. The ability to expand in phases allows us to target the needs and design for optimum efficiency. Thus the modernization plan of the extended warehouse is already planned to triple shipping capacity.

It should be noted that the logistic centers of the United States and Europe are also growing and are constantly improved to accommodate the growing volume. RobotShop’s growth persisting for a twelfth consecutive year well represents the force of the robotics market.
