By 2012,
South Korea should see a
great number of robot teachers landing in their classrooms.
The Korean government will inject nearly
9 million US dollars in 2011 to increase to
500 number of schools testing out a robot assistant teacher.
Then
in 2012, Korea will invest 36 million dollars to further expand the project.
PlasticPals writes that
in 2013, almost
8000 South Korean schools will be equipped with robot teachers or assistant teachers in this way.
Japan already has the humanoid robot Saya being tested in schools.
