Robot Rebellion Defense Guide

ImageThere sure seems to be a lot of talk flying around about Daniel H. Wilson's book entitled, "How to Survive a Robot Uprising: Tips on Defending Yourself Against the Coming Rebellion." When you see it both on Digg and Slashdot at the same time, you know there's a buzz going around.

Wilson's book is a basic surival manual for anyone who plans on being alive when our robotic overlords eventually take over. And Wilson is certainly one to speak about this topic, as he just earned his Ph.D from Carnegie Mellon University and asked several of his collegues about their suggestions for survival in certain scenarios.

"Wilson's 178-page book is clearly for the humor section; the graphics give it away with pictures of old school video-game robots zapping humans with lasers. It's riddled with B-movie language about "the nefarious robot mind" and survival tips that are closer to "The Onion" than a science book."

Even more interesting is that the movie rights to the book have already been purchased.

You can check out Dr. Wilson's blog here. Wired News review his book previously. You can buy the book off of Amazon here (and help support GoRobotics.net in the process!)
